| Environmentally responsible "The cycling Stonemason"
People ask me about my eco credentials ...
The work I do allows me to travel to some beautiful places. With a
background of cycling and interests in alternate energy it was only
natural to leave a small carbon footprint in my work. By staying on or
very near the site I'm working on drastically reduces wasted
production time and resources.
The motorhome I use to travel from different properties was built by
myself, NOT being able to find a manufacturer who could supply my
needs for low co2 was not surprising.
(JUST LIKE THE LAST ONE I BUILT YEARS AGO!)
Below are some overviews on the vehicles I use.
**All my vehicles are biofuel powered.**

MY EVERYDAY TRANSPORT....Is one of 4 trusty Cannondale Super V's
(bicycles) towing the brilliant BOB trailer (Beast of Burden)
Great for tools,shopping and touring.
AND Speedy a Speedwell Popular Deluxe single speed.
THE TOOLS I USE...Everything built in stone is by hand and personally by me.
POWER TOOL FREE ZONE.!!
THE STONE AND MATERIALS.......This is one thing I don't have much
control over BUT I endeavour to source local field stone or quarry
where ever possible as well as demolition stone, A GREAT RESOURCE.

|1991 MAZDA T3500 CUSTOMISED MOTORHOME
Primary vehicle... used Interstate and Onsite
THE ENGINE... An economical 3.5 ltr 4 cylinder diesels running on
B20 bio-diesel which is a 20% blend of vegetable/diesel. B50 being
used where its avaliable.
BODYWISE... The motorhome was resurrected from a '91 Mazda
cab/chassis and fitted with a customised pantec body, luckily the
two smaller windows at the front were already there, the other
windows sourced as seconds from a caravan dealer in Albury NSW.
The side cladding is cargo sheet, though aluminium it is UV
stabilised and won't need replacement like filon fibreglass
All outside lighting (BLING) is efficient LED.
INSIDE...Accommodation inside is all solar 12 volt DC powered, the
solar cells are 64watt Uni-solar (amorphous ,shade tolerant). All
lighting is strip LED (1/10th the power consumption) TV, stereo,
DVD, computer, fridge, solar shower, phone and camera are run via
A waterless toilet using zeolite is fitted as is a metho burning stove
to lower co2 emissions. The interior was fitted out using as much
recycled and recyclable material as possible.

THE ENGINE..using the same economical 3.5 ltr 4 cylinder
diesels running on B20 bio-diesel which is a 20% blend of
vegetable/diesel. B50 being used where its avaliable.
BODYWISE... Completely rebuilt from the chassis up after
being used as a city delivery pantec. The short tray is custom
built by myself to include a 75mm tow ball able to pull a
lightweight gooseneck trailer I use and a rear winch for
pulling stones. Stainless steel trim is used extensively
throughout with alloy sheet side skirts covering around the
wheel openings. There's over 160 LED lights fitted externally
adding to the much needed bling.
Stainless steel wheel insert are also added.
INTERIOR...The 60in custom sleeper I built features all the
conveniences of the larger motorhome but without a shower.
It also is 12v solar powered to run all the normal
appointments.Cab appointments have further been upgraded.
The sleeper is built using a sandwich method of face recycled
plywood interior and alloy Violet tone cargosheet externally
giving great insulation all year round.
